    The Property Manager is a self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as with other staff personnel, members of the church, and the various public groups that contract to use the facility. This position is part time at 18 hours per week. These hours should be scheduled and completed in no less than four, and no greater than six days per week.

    Rev. Douglas Cox

    The Rev. Douglas Cox (“Pastor Doug”) is an ELCA pastor and is driven by a passion for music, justice, and service. He came to Minnesota in 2008 after returning from the island nation of Madagascar, where he and his wife Monica and their two sons served as ELCA missionaries for 8 years.  Prior to that, he grew up and pastored in Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC.  

    His background includes serving for the past 10 years as Executive Director for the nonprofit Global Health Ministries.

    Over many years in the Midwest, Doug has discovered the joys of eating lefse, snowshoeing, and abundant opportunities to enjoy music and theatre in the Twin Cities!

    DIRECTOR OF MUSIC

    Eugene is a gifted choral leader, singer, and educator with a Bachelor of Music degree from St. Olaf College. As a choir teacher at Richfield Public Schools, he's driven by his passion for connecting music and community. In every setting, Eugene brings a heart for ministry, a collaborative spirit, and a deep love for lifting voices in praise. We're excited for this new chapter of music and worship together.   • Landon Westerfield

    Landon Westerfield

    ASSOCIATE ORGANIST

    Landon Westerfield is the new Accompanist for Vista, joining on September 21. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois, specializing in early French music. Landon brings extensive experience as a church musician, having served congregations in Kentucky and Illinois.

    Outside of music, he works in real estate and finance, managing a diverse portfolio of properties across the Midwest, from historic hotels to modern high-rises. In his free time, Landon enjoys reading and spending time with his golden retriever, Poppy. Vista looks forward to the creativity, skill, and joy he will bring to worship and community life.

    Emma loves exploring all forms of musical worship on our beautiful organ. When not on the organ bench, you can find her teaching Special Education, going to Timberwolves games with her husband, and volunteering for social justice causes.

    COMMUNICATION LEAD

    Anne Marie leverages her 25 years of communications experience to tell Vista Lutheran's story with clarity, creativity, and purpose. Beyond her professional expertise, she's deeply engaged in community volunteering with Girl Scouts and is an active participant in other groups that foster deeper connections within her community.
