Rev. Douglas Cox
The Rev. Douglas Cox (“Pastor Doug”) is an ELCA pastor with 30 years of experience, driven by a passion for music, justice, and service. He has led congregations in Minnesota and Maryland.
His background includes nearly two decades in global missions, notably serving 10 years as Executive Director for the nonprofit Global Health Ministries and 8 years as a missionary to Madagascar.
Pastor Doug holds Master’s degrees in Divinity and Islamic Studies and has taught at Gettysburg Seminary. He and his wife, Monica, have two adult sons and speak English, French, and Malagasy.

Cindy Ranwick
Administrative Assistant

Eugene Sandel
DIRECTOR OF MUSIC
Eugene is a gifted choral leader, singer, and educator with a Bachelor of Music degree from St. Olaf College. As a choir teacher at Richfield Public Schools, he's driven by his passion for connecting music and community. In every setting, Eugene brings a heart for ministry, a collaborative spirit, and a deep love for lifting voices in praise. We're excited for this new chapter of music and worship together. Landon Westerfield
ASSOCIATE ORGANIST
Landon Westerfield is the new Accompanist for Vista, joining on September 21. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois, specializing in early French music. Landon brings extensive experience as a church musician, having served congregations in Kentucky and Illinois.
Outside of music, he works in real estate and finance, managing a diverse portfolio of properties across the Midwest, from historic hotels to modern high-rises. In his free time, Landon enjoys reading and spending time with his golden retriever, Poppy. Vista looks forward to the creativity, skill, and joy he will bring to worship and community life.

Emma Peterson
ASSOCIATE ORGANIST
Emma loves exploring all forms of musical worship on our beautiful organ. When not on the organ bench, you can find her teaching Special Education, going to Timberwolves games with her husband, and volunteering for social justice causes.

Anne Marie Proulx
COMMUNICATION LEAD
Anne Marie leverages her 25 years of communications experience to tell Vista Lutheran's story with clarity, creativity, and purpose. Beyond her professional expertise, she's deeply engaged in community volunteering with Girl Scouts and is an active participant in other groups that foster deeper connections within her community.
