We are thrilled to officially welcome Pastor Karleen A. Jung to our community! Please join us on Sunday, June 7 at 10:00 AM for a special Installation Worship service as we celebrate the beginning of this exciting new chapter in our ministry together.

We are honored to welcome Bishop Jen Nagel, who will be presiding over the installation. Pastor Karleen brings a wonderful spirit of faith and leadership to us, and we look forward to the many ways we will grow, serve, and worship together in the years ahead.

Music & Choir Director

Position Summary: Vista Lutheran Church seeks a collaborative, community-minded professional to lead our music ministry in a salaried role. This position combines worship planning with choral leadership to foster a vibrant musical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Collaboration: Partner with the Pastor and organists to select hymns, coordinate special seasonal worship, and schedule soloists.

• Choral Direction: Recruit, direct, and care for the choir for Sunday and seasonal services; lead weekly rehearsals.

• Coordination: Manage music calendars and oversee youth/special musical programs.

ASSOCIATE ORGANIST

Landon Westerfield is the new Accompanist for Vista, joining on September 21. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois, specializing in early French music. Landon brings extensive experience as a church musician, having served congregations in Kentucky and Illinois.

Outside of music, he works in real estate and finance, managing a diverse portfolio of properties across the Midwest, from historic hotels to modern high-rises. In his free time, Landon enjoys reading and spending time with his golden retriever, Poppy. Vista looks forward to the creativity, skill, and joy he will bring to worship and community life.

ASSOCIATE ORGANIST

Emma loves exploring all forms of musical worship on our beautiful organ. When not on the organ bench, you can find her teaching Special Education, going to Timberwolves games with her husband, and volunteering for social justice causes.

COMMUNICATION LEAD

Anne Marie leverages her 25 years of communications experience to tell Vista Lutheran's story with clarity, creativity, and purpose. Beyond her professional expertise, she's deeply engaged in community volunteering with Girl Scouts and is an active participant in other groups that foster deeper connections within her community.
