Food is often filled with more than just flavor and calories but with memory and meaning! Join us for lunch month this summer as we talk about food, life, memories, and God’s presence in all of it! Our theme this month: Keeping Cool Bring a favorite dish that is served at room temperature or colder as we talk about keeping our cool in moments that raise our temperatures! Join us for outdoor worship with our friends from Spirit of Christ Lutheran! We’ll come together for sacred time, with a luncheon to follow. For June, will read Louise Erdrich’s book The Round House. It is an exquisitely told story of a boy on the cusp of manhood who seeks justice and understanding in the wake of a terrible crime that upends and forever transforms his family.

For May, we will be reading Raising My Rainbow: Adventures in Raising a Fabulous, Gender-Creative Son by Lori Duron: "An unforgettable story of her wonderful family as they navigate the often challenging but never dull privilege of raising a slightly effeminate, possibly gay, totally fabulous son." Just follow the directions in the parking lot when you get here. The worship service will still include an imposition of ashes, but we want to offer this alternative option for you.
